Day 1: Nairobi Hotel – Lake Nakuru National Park
Your safari begins early with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, followed by a scenic drive through lush tea and coffee plantations, past Thomson’s Falls and the Equator line, as you head toward Lake Nakuru National Park. You enjoy game drives en route to your lodge or camp before checking in for lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive takes you along the shores of Lake Nakuru where you may see flamingos, pelicans, and a wide variety of birds. The park is also home to endangered white and black rhinos, the rare Rothschild giraffe, waterbucks, buffalos, and other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight are at Lake Nakuru Lodge, Flamingo Hill Tented Camp, or Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve
An early morning game drive gives you a final opportunity to explore Lake Nakuru’s wildlife before returning for breakfast. You then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for a game drive en route to your lodge or camp for lunch and check-in. After some relaxation, you embark on an evening game drive at 3:00 p.m., exploring the remarkable wildlife and scenic plains of the Mara. Dinner and overnight are at Mara Sopa Lodge, Camp Oloshaiki, or Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers exceptional wildlife encounters, including all members of the Big Five: lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and leopards. Other frequently spotted animals include wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, gazelles, topis, hyenas, and hundreds of bird species. The landscapes and wildlife activity make the Masai Mara one of Africa’s top safari destinations. Dinner and overnight are at Mara Sopa Lodge, Camp Oloshaiki, or Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Full Day Game Viewing
Your fourth day in the Masai Mara provides yet another full day of unforgettable game viewing. Explore different regions of the reserve, track predators, and take in the expansive savannah landscapes. During the Great Migration season (July–October), you may visit the Mara River to witness dramatic wildebeest crossings. After an exciting day in the wild, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, Camp Oloshaiki, or Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
After an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, then begin your drive back to Nairobi. Lunch is served along the way before arriving in the city, where you are dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your 5 Days Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari.
